Tuesday 10th August 2004
We found out today that we are expecting you, told both mummy & daddy's mummy and daddy and they didn't believe us at first.  We think that you should be here round about May time.  Lewis can't wait to have a wee brother or sister and Finlay can't wait to have another cousin.

Wednesday 18th August 2004
Mummy went to the doctor's today and wad to to expect you round about the 15th April 2005.  The doctor gave mummy Folic Acid to take for 6 weeks to help you along.  Mummy is currently 6 weeks pregnant with you.  The doctor gave mummy a book called Ready Steady Baby so she's been reading up and some things have changed since she had your big brother Lewis.

Friday 10th September 2004
Mummy seems to like chips and vinegar at the moment, apart from that everything else is ok, still got some queasiness. Daddy had wrapped mummy up in so much cotton wool that she can't do anything without daddy saying "Don't to that I'll do it".  Your big brother keeps putting his head up mummy's tops and slapping her belly, I hope that doesn't wake you up, the next time you hear him doing it give him a kick and he'll move.

Wednesday 22nd September 2004
Met the midwife today, she's the lady that's going to look after mummy through her pregnancy, her name is Jane, she is a very nice lady, your big brother came along with mummy and daddy and we saw your very first picture on the screen when we had a scan.  You waved your hand accross your face when wer were there, you didn't want to play at first because you were sleeping, she tried to wake you up but you were having none of it, lets hope you are like that when you arrive.  Lewis thought you were a fimble ( I'll explain that one to you later when you are a bit older ).  She also took some blood from mummy, checked her blood pressure and made her pee in a bottle just to make sure everything is ok.

Tuesday 12th Ocotber 2004
Mummy had to go to the doctor's today, she not feeling very good, the doctor told her to stay off work for 1 week because of headaches and sickness. You are completely different from your brother, mummy didn't suffer anything with Lewis and daddy thinks that you might be a girl because of this.  Your big cousin Finlay knows that you are in mummys belly when you ask him where you are he says in Auntie Do's belly.

Monday 18th October 2004
Mummy went back to work today, she's feelking much better still got a bit of a sore head but not as bad as it was.  Daddy still has mummy wrapped up in cotton wool, I'm not allowed to do any work in the new house I've to leave it to daddy, nana & grandad Brown to do.

Monday 01st November 2004
Had to take your big brother to the hospital today, nana Leith fell with him in her arms and split his head open, we had to get butterfly stitches in it.  So much for no stress and taking it easy.  Mummy's blood pressure was through the roof.

Wednesday 03rd November 2004
We are now 16 1/2 weeks pregnant.  Mummy went to the midwife today, Jane was on holiday and that lady she was suppost to see went home sick, so she had to wait for someone to arrive.  They took more blood just to check that you are ok and the blood they took the last time all came back clear.  Mummy had to phone next week to make an appointment to see Jane in 4 weeks.

Wednesday 10th November 2004
We are now 17 1/2 weeks pregnant and mummy is starting to feel much better now, no more sickness or headaches.  I think that you are starting to kick about mummy keeps getting flutters in her belly.  Maybe you are doing backflips.

Monday 15th November 2004
We are now 18 weeks pregnant and feeling really good.  The midwife phoned today to tell mummy to make an appointment at the doctors on the 10th December for my 22 week check up just to make sure that everything is ok, and Jane will see us W/Comm 22nd January 2005 for our 26 week check up.

Wednesday 08th December 2004
We are no 21 1/2 weeks pregnant and you are quite a mover, you are jumping around in mummy's belly most of the time now from about 6pm onwards.  Mummy had the doctors on Friday just for a check up to make sure that everything is ok with with the both of us.  It was your big brother's birthday last Friday hi is now a big 2 and he's starting to walk on his own now, by the time you arrive he should be walking on his own unaided which is brilliant.  Mummy's belly's getting bigger now and she's starting to get too big for her clothes she'll soon be having to wear her maternity clothes to accommodate you.

Friday 10th December 2004
Mummy went for her 22 week check up today at the doctors, everything ok, we heard your heartbeat for the very first time, it was very strong and lous.  Mummy had a urine infection and has tablets to take for 5 days, we checked that they wouldn't harm you in any way and we were told that they were ok.  Mummy was told that if it wasn't any better after she's finished the tablets then she has to got back to see the doctor.  Mummy's next check up will be in 4 weeks at the midwife.

Wednesday 12th January 2005
we are 26 3/4 weeks pregnant already and it's just flyng by.  You are constantly kicking mummy and moving around, daddy nearly passed out on Saturday night as mummy was lying on the couch when her stomach moved up in the air by a couple of inched daddy just freaked, he then felt you kicking and he couldn't believe how active you are.  Your big brother keeps lifting mummy's top up kissing and cuddling her belly saying aww baba, you seem to like this as you kick away when Lewis does it.  Mummy starting to feel tired quite a bit now and daddy is helping loads.  Daddy told mummy to start her maternity leave at the end of February instead of the end of March, this'll give her some time to get ready for your arrival, we have to go through all your big brothers baby clothes to see what we can use for you when you get here, we don't know if you are a boy or a girl so we have to choose the neutral colours so they can be worn by either.  Nana Brown has said that she'll help mummy to do this.  We are now looking at names for you, daddy likes Cameron & Lauren and mummy like Daisy & MacKenzie, daddy also like Morgan.  The strangest thing this time around is that we are looking a both girl and boys names where as when mummy was pregnant with Lewis we only looked at boys names.
COULD THIS BE AN OMAN!!!!

Tuesday 01st February 2005
Went to the midwife today for a check up, everything ok, mummy's blook pressure was up a wee bit but not too much.

Wednesday 09th February 2005
Went to the hospital today for a check up you weren't moving around and I couldn't feel you kick, we were there for about 4hrs getting checked, you were kicking about like mad, your heartbeat was very strong.  Mummy had high blood pressure and protein in her urine we have to come back on Friday just to be checked.

Friday 11th February 2005
Went back to the hospital today just to be sure that both mummy and you were ok, everything fine we have to come back on Monday for a scan.

Monday 14th February 2005
Went for our scan today nana Brown came with us.  YOU ARE BREECH!!!!! just like to big brother.  Mummy has to try and move you.  You weigh 4lb 9oz you are already heavier than when your brother was born.

Monday 21st February 2005
Went to the doctors today for our 33 week check up.  Mummy's back is really sore I can hardly walk at the moment so I have decided to start my maternity leave early.  I am officially on materinty leave now.

Friday 25th March 2005
Went to see Jane the midwife today for our 37 week check up.   Everything ok mummy'sblood pressure is ok and no protein in her urine, however Jane thinks that you are lying back to back with mummy.  She will reassess the situation next week.

Friday 01st April 2005
We are now 38 weeks pregnant and mummy is getting really big and uncomfortable.  Went to see Jane today everything ok but we have to go for a scan to see what position you are in.  We went for our scan and you are head down but back to back with mummy, mummy now has to sit forward or on the floor on all fours to see if you will move.  Everything else ok it's now just a waiting game.

Sunday 10th April 2005
39 weeks pregnant and really uncomfortable, mummy and daddy watched the football today to see if that would help mummy go into labour but it never.  Hearts got beat 2-1 by Celtic in the smi-final of the Scottish Cup.  Went to bed about 10.30pm and was getting a lot of back ache.  Pains every 3-4 mins so daddy made mummy phone the hospital and they told us to come in with our bags just incase.  We got to the hospital about 12.30ish am and we were met by a lovely midwife called Elaine, she took us into a room got mummy to lay down on the bed and strapped her up to a monitor to monitor both you and mummy.  However she couldn't find you heart beat and when we told her that you were lying back to back with mummy she said she would get mummy scanned just ot check the position maybe thats why it was difficult to locate your heartbeat.  We were taken to the scan room where a junior doctor came to scann mummy she couldn't find your heartbeat either and wento to get the senior doctor, by this time mummy and daddy were very worried.  Then doctor Campbell came in and scnanned mummy for what seemed to be hours then he told us the news we didn't want to hear, Donna I'm so sorry I'm affraid tyou haby has died.  Our whole world fell apart, we both just started crying and saying no no no, the doctor and Elaine both left the room so mummy and daddy could be alone for a short while.  When they came back into the room, we were then told that mummy had to deliver you.  Elaine checked mummy and she was 5-6cm dilated alreasy so they moved us to the labour ward into a private room.  We meet another midwife called Annette when we arrive and she is really nice.  Elaine was with us every step of the way.  Daddy had to then go and make the terrible calls to nana & grandad Brown and Leitch.  Nana & grandad Brown then came to the hospital to see and and help us.

Monday 11th April 2005
